P4 Sense of Place

 Artist Statement:

For my sense of place project I wanted to focus on the idea of playgrounds as a place. Playgrounds are where a lot of lessons and social friend groups were made. I aimed to have the glare of the sun on the playground equipment. For example photo one and three have the sun in frame and not necessarily blinding the viewer, but more so comforting them. Meanwhile with other photos like photo 4 I wanted to shift the perspective of the angle. While photo two and five were shot from more of a grounded perspective, like you were looking at the playground from a Childs perspective. Overall the main idea behind this series was to have my camera act as the eyes of a child. Keep it low to the ground and only force a Birds Eye view if it's from a vantage point.
